The Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission – RJMEC, is calling on the civil society to use their influence to advocate for the full implementation of the peace agreement.
RJMEC interim chairperson Maj. Gen. Charles Tai Gituai says civil society holds a unique position that bridges the parties and stakeholders with the local community.
Maj. Gen. Gituai was addressing a four-day consultative meeting for stakeholders of the peace agreement held in Bor.
The consultative forum was convened by RJMEC, the Ceasefire & Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring & Verification Mechanism (CTSAMVM), in collaboration with the Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO), and the Nonviolent Peace force.
