Season 1, Episode 10,   Feb 10, 2022, 08:00 AM

Welcome to Episode 10 of The Sync Report Podcast. This week our guest is George Kallis.

This week we talk to composer, conductor, musician and songwriter George Kallis about the beautiful compositions he has created for more than 35 movies, so far, and hear about his creative process.

Join us as George tells our listeners how his childhood was full of music and classic old Hollywood movies and how this influenced his own love of music and film, how he was encouraged to pursue his musical interests from a young age and how he started composing. Berklee School of Music graduate George then talks us through some of his beautiful compositions and the process of creating the right music for particular scenes in the movies.

You may already have hear George’s music on any number of TV adverts and movie trailers as well as in the movies, including for the incredibly popular "After" series of films, since George took over scoring duties on "After We Fell" released in 2021 and is currently working on the next installment "After Ever Happy".

We are also joined by two fantastic guest hosts: musician, producer and songwriter Sean Hurwitz, who you may know as a member of the band Smashmouth or as guitarist for Enrique Iglesias. And LA Radio DJ Mimi Chen who is well known for her highly rated radio show “Peace, Love & Sunday Mornings” on 100.3 The Sound (KSWD-FM) in Los Angeles.

Additionally, we spoke to award-winning filmmaker Ronald Dillard about his latest short film Unbrotherly Love which is currently showing at film festivals. We connected Ronald with Irish musician Derek Corr, who then went on to compose the music for Unbrotherly Love.

2 Sense  Music presents The Sync Report, where you will meet industry experts and top level songwriters as we pull the curtain back on music placement and scores, build vital relationships and provide real opportunities to our listeners.
