Borders, reimagined

Belgian border post reimagined by Lama Sawaya.
"What intrigued me in the original field recording is its richness, a full sound that hid so many layers of nature, and that right away started triggering my imagination, and got me curious to experimenting with textures and movement.
"The piece is based on associations between sounds and textures, starting and ending with the original field recording, and a lot of abstract freedom in between. A lot of the layers were created by manipulating the original recording and diving in its spectrum, and then turning them and adding electronic recording sounds, with a drone like electric guitar floating in and out."
