2/4 D-Fly & Dixie: And So It Begins…

Feb 04, 2022, 10:55 AM

D-Fly and Dixie are back for the first time in this 2022 season, previewing the key matchups of the weekend, catching up on lost time and much more.

They kick things off discussing Mark’s new role in the college lacrosse world. A man of many titles – Blue Jays alum, broadcaster, official – he adds “college lacrosse dad” to his list in 2022. Dan then questions Mark’s fruit obligation to the first postgame tailgate of the year, and what selections would be the easiest, funniest and most practical. Then they move into the two prevailing themes of this upcoming season and look at some of the top teams and players.

Brian Abbott, president of the National Intercollegiate Lacrosse Officials Association, joins them in the weekly interview. They talk about NILOA’s role in the college game, rule changes and clarifications for 2022, the process for career advancement for lacrosse officials and more.
