AMONG the headlines for Tuesday, February 1, 2022, Malaysia has logged a total of 5,566 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
As of yesterday, about 51.2 pct of the adult population in the country have received the COVID-19 booster dose.
Meanwhile, about 97.9 per cent of the group have completed their vaccination.
Also, a Japanese Air Self-Defense Force jet that went missing last night is believed to have crashed, while its two crew members remain unaccounted for.
According to Japan’s defence ministry, the fighter and its two crewmembers were heading for a regular combat drill over the Sea of Japan, when the F-15 Eagle fighter jet disappeared shortly after take-off from air traffic control radars yesterday.
