Maddy Playle is joined by James Stevens and Robbie Wilders to look back on a memorable weekend of racing action.

The Postcast team kick off at Prestbury Park, with Pied Piper the stand out performance of the day. The Gordon Elliott-trained hurdler was made the 5-2 favourite for the Triumph Hurdle but will he end up in that race? The Cotswold Chase was the feature race on the card but it looked to be a weak renewal. Maddy and co assess Chantry House’s performance with a look ahead to the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Paisley Park rolled back the years to land the Cleeve Hurdle after giving away almost 15 lengths at the start. Maddy and James were on course to witness the reaction as the fans’ favourite returned to the winner’s enclosure.

Third Time Lucki was the headline act at Doncaster and proved it winning by 30 lengths. Robbie thinks he could be overpriced at 8-1 for the Arkle now that Ferny Hollow is out of the race. Windsor Avenue sprung a surprise in the Sky Best Chase, staying on stronger than Storm Control to win at 40-1.

Maddy, James and Robbie also take a look ahead to the Dublin Racing Festival. The Irish Arkle and Gold Cup are the feature races on the Saturday with Willie Mullins holding an extremely strong hand in the former. Frodon is sent over attempting to land another big Irish pot, whilst Minella Indo will be aiming to get his season back on track. Chacun Pour Soi heads the betting for the Dublin Chase but our panel believe he could be past his best. Honeysuckle, one of the greatest mares of all time, returns to action as she bids to land a third Irish Champion Hurdle.

This week the team finish off with a banker and a lay for the Dublin Racing Festival.
