RNIB Reaches Out to Work Closer in Partnership with Sight Loss and Other Charities

In the next of our series of interviews looking at how the RNIB is working in partnership with sight loss sector partners and other organisations to make a more inclusive and accessible society for blind and partially sighted people Connect Radio’s Toby Davey checks in with members of the Strategic Engagement Lead - Third Sector Team here at the RNIB this time to home in on technology.
Toby was joined by Andrea Glover, Strategic Engagement manager and Gary Brunskill, Specialist Lead - Assistive Technology and Digital Inclusion here at the RNIB.
Andrea began by explaining how the work of the Assistive Technology and Digital Inclusion Team fits within all the partnership work between the RNIB, other organisations and our sight loss sector partners.
Gary talked about how he and the rest of the team get involved with our sight loss sector partners around technology in many forms including the great work done by the RNIB Tech for Life Team along with the TFL Volunteers helping blind and partially sighted people with their technology queries, training and linking up with our sight loss sector partners and how technology opens so many doors around inclusivity for blind and partially sighted people.
