Krossneslaug hot spring, Iceland reimagined by Jeff Dungfelder.
"“Half the Speed of Light” is based on reimagining a field recording of the water sounds from the Krossneslaug hot spring in Iceland. Krossneslaug is heated by natural hot-springs, and is considered an ‘Infinity Pool’ due to the fact it has magnificent views of the ocean, with nothing impeding the view between the two waters.
"Thinking about experiencing the sounds of the spring and the view from the infinity pool made me wonder about light traveling in such a magnificent setting. And what if this experience could be slowed down for maximum enjoyment? It is this concept that gave birth to this piece of music, “Half the Speed of Light”."
