Venice morning, Fondamenta dei Ormesini

Fondamenta dei Ormesini, Venice, reimagined by John Tenney.
"A quiet morning in Venice: people chat, others pass by with radios, dogs and cats and pigeons make their contributions. The calm is broken by a runaway cruise ship approaching and crashing into the pilings; afterwards, the city is more peaceful than ever.
"This is based on a real event from 2019, which injured several people, and had the long-range effect of banning the monstrous ships from docking in Venice. The city has had enough troubles-- sinking, flooding, millions of tourists a year pouring through it--without the ships. And perhaps Venice can regain a little more of the character that makes it unique in the world."
