The war on hugs

"I used the original recording 'Alfons and the Magic Christmas Tree' in my composition 'The War on Hugs. I wanted to create a piece of music that made me feel like a child at Christmas, but Christmasses gone by, before lockdowns and restrictions, when we could see our families at this festive time of year to celebrate. Last Christmas I could only see my parents very briefly, and we weren't allowed to hug. I wanted to create a fantasy Christmas, a real one, with my family, and Alfons."
