Phœnix ou Lam(in)e(s)
Jan 18, 2022, 01:40 PM
""Phoenix ou Lam(in)e(s)" is a short piece composed of small portions taken from the radiophonic original (in particular the Russian songs) and completely re-transformed to be grafted into a new sound tissue produced with a modified analogue magnetophone and demagnetized tape. A sort of regeneration, then, like the mythical phoenix rising from its own ashes.
The title, which can be read both in French and Italian, alludes precisely to the process of cuts, transformations and grafts with which it was intended to proceed in the composition of the piece."
