AMONG the headlines for Monday, January 17, 2022, a total of 2,342 new COVID-19 cases were reported by the Ministry of Health today.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this brings the overal total to more than 2.8 million.
Also, millions of Americans hunkered down as a major winter storm hit the eastern United States with heavy snow and ice knocking power out for an estimated 145,000 customers as of yesterday evening.
