My absolutely WILD end to 2021

What happens when you combine a late (and low appraisal) that mandates multiple thousands of dollars of cosmetic work needing to be done, with a lender that's about to go out of business and won't be able to close on the house if the closing extends beyond December 30, with a transaction that's somehow got to go through rushed underwriting, multiple days worth of repairs, a reinspection on an appraisal with the appraiser out of town, a rushed appraisal review by the lender, and getting all that done over the holidays? That's how 2021 ended in a fitting conclusion to a crazy year.
