Ghosts of shortwave interference

"The starting point for this track was a recording of a British forces propaganda broadcast (in Latin American) being jammed by Argentinian forces during the Falklands conflict - abstract airwaves interfering with each other somewhere out at sea, over cold grey water, beneath cold grey skies.
"I isolated the frequencies where the interference was centred and tried from there, from that area where the two sources were in conflict, to feel for something that might emerge. Within that I wanted to return to the fact that, although the recording sounds like a cheerful radio program, it was sound being weaponised. While ultimately I couldn't help but bring something musical I wanted to keep that sense of conflict, tension and the cold grey intact."
