In general, fruit from Afghanistan, from the Osh Valley in Uzbekistan, from Iran and Azerbaijan, are sweeter, more perfumed, and greatly more delicious than fruit found in Europe or the US. Speculation is that the summers are hotter and the water is more favorable.
