The Frilled Dragon or Frilled Lizard (Chlamydosaurus kingii) is an Agamid lizard native to Northern Australia and Southern New Guinea, they are amongst one of the most recognisable and distinct species of reptile in the world due to their large frill which can be used as a defensive mechanism as well as camouflage. The design for the Dilophosaurus which ate Denis Nedry in Jurassic Park was based off off this lizard (however the Frilled Lizard cannot spit venom).
