The Hawaiian Gardens Gang: One of The Most Dangerous Gangs in America PT. 1
*ep starts at 14:30 seconds
I’ll be talking about the Varrio Hawaiian Gardens gang, and no they’re not in Hawaii, they’re from a small town just south of LA. They have a long history and played a key part in forming the Mexican Mafia prison gang. Through the 90s and 2000s they committed numerous hate crimes and have been classified as a “Hate Gang” for their deliberate targeting of African Americans. They stick to their territory and have never formed cliques outside of Hawaiian Gardens.
GUEST is officer Gannon a LASD and OCSD Sheriff

SPECIAL REPORT; many roots of hate; attacks on victims like martin hammonds, left, slain by a latino gang member in hawaiian gardens, may not fit the common image of hate crimes. but that community's deep-seated animosities are a window on the bigger picture of racially motivated violence in L.A. county.: [home edition].
