Episode 307, Nov 01, 2021, 09:00 AM
AMONG the headlines for Monday, November 1, 2021, Malaysia’s Covid-19 infections dropped to 4,626 today, making it the second consecutive day that cases have been below the 5,000-mark.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country since the start of the pandemic to 2,476,268.
Also, Beijing has dismissed a US review into the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic, saying the use of intelligence agencies was “ironclad proof of politicisation”.
In the 18-page report, the US intelligence community concluded that the coronavirus had not been developed as a biological weapon, but could not determine if it had infected humans as a result of contact with animals or from a laboratory accident.
