On this episode of Expanded Perspectives the guys start the show off talking about lousy continuing education courses and the thrills of installing a new hot water heater. Then, the talk about how a woman who was living at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas back in 1971 had a terrifying encounter with an 8' to 9' foot black, winged creature with glowing red eyes one night. It appeared at the end of her bed while she was sleeping. Then, a person from Perryopolis, Pennsylvania wrote in to Lon Strickler for a friend who claims that there are eight-feet tall creatures resembling a Reptilian-type creature surrounding his house at night. They get into his head and communicate strange things like stuff about end of civilization stuff and that only a small group will survive. Sometimes they get physical and then there is loss of consciousness.

Then, Kyle reads a newspaper article from the September 12th, 1880 edition of the New York Times. The article goes on to tell a mass sighting by many people on Coney Island who witnessed a man with frog like legs and bat like wings flying towards New Jersey at an altitude of 1,000 feet. The odd looking man was seen weeks before in St. Louis and again over the state of Kentucky. After the break Cam brings up the interesting life and death of Marilyn Monroe. In the early hours of Aug. 5, 1962, Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her bedroom in Brentwood, California. Following an investigation, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office ruled Monroe’s death a probable suicide. A toxicology report released shortly after revealed that the actress had taken a lethal dose of acute barbiturate poison. In the 55 years since, Monroe’s on-screen legacy has lived alongside several conspiracy theories about why and how she died. Her rumored close ties to the Kennedy family plays a large role in these theories, along with Monroe’s history of mental illness and drug abuse.
