Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Sunday 5th September. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to.

Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they’ve built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK WITH EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM

As cars like the IONIQ 5 and trucks like the Ford F-150 Lighting arrive being able to draw power from the traction battery, what will you power from your EV in the future?

DARYA OREIZI
I'd like to submit a response to the Question of the Week! Personally, I would use V2X at the construction job site. I work in construction and getting temporary power at the site can be a challenge. With V2X, it would be so much easier to provide power to the subcontractors for their various power tools.

KARL CRAMER
I’m hoping that EVs with regular plugs leads to towed food trucks getting rid of portable generators. It’s awful to queue up for food and be inundated by a loud, stinky genie.

Obviously, its own Granny Cable, then you'd never have to charge again.

The Life of Brian
@mateybloke
I did think about running an electric heater & my old Plasma TV in my house but i then read that V2L on EV6 is not supposed to be used in the rain. So even if you are camping not weather proof.I would also worry about electric safety of it.

Digital signage and sound system at EV events...
Really need V2x available via CCS on the charging port to do some really useful stuff....

I just checked, and my fridge/freezer uses 284 kWh a year, so 0.78kWh per day. A 77.4kWh IONIQ5 battery could run it for about 99 days. Dull, but I said to someone I'd work it out.

The battery charger for my battery-electric hand tools for when I'm working offsite without power.

EVsTheFuture
It’s a nice feature to have and might dig you out of a hole at some point, but I’d have preferred a proper car to grid solution, being able to run some of the house in a power cut would be quite appealing.

Hassium Quarterdeck
I already run my microwave and induction hob in my EV campercar.
Not decent, just a maximum of about 2kW, but plenty for me when I’m camping.
Along with having the heating or air conditioning running,
