First Gadget of the Week is the Devolo Mesh Wifi 2. This ingenious solution extends your home wifi network by also utilising your mains wiring to circumvent problems caused by signal blocking walls ensuring the resulting wifi signal offers the fullest capacity possible, and each of the modules has an ethernet port which is ideal for things such as games consoles where raw speed is critical. Available with either 2 or 3 modules these are ideal for those with larger houses or those where wifi networks can be problematic and scored a respectable 4 out of 5.

Second Gadget of the Week 2 is the Google Nest Audio. This mid-range smart speaker from Google features the Google Assistant and cleverly uses three sensitive microphones to ensure it will hear your commands even if it's playing music. Suitable for a kitchen or small room this affordable speaker also has touch sensitive controls and gained itself 4 out of 5.
