When three members of the Van Breda family were found dead and a fourth seriously injured, police looked at the only surviving son, Henri.
On the morning of January 27, 2015, three members of the Van Breda family were found dead at their luxury home in Stellenbosch. Two of the children survived: 16-year-old Marli was at the brink of death and 20-year-old Henri only suffered minor injuries. The crime scene was a blood bath, and Henri described an attack by an axe-wielding madman wearing a mask. But police suspected the Van Breda’s surviving son knew more than he was letting on.
