RNIB Scotland have been working with the Scottish Government to ensure that their newly launched website Eyes.Scot is accessible for blind and partially sighted people. Eyes.Scot is a hub full of resources and information relating to sight loss services in Scotland.

Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with James Adams, Director of RNIB Scotland to find out more about Eyes.Scot and how RNIB Scotland worked with the Scottish Government to ensure that the new website was accessible for blind and partially sighted people.

James first explained to Toby why RNIB Scotland welcomed the launch of Eyes.Scot and talked about some of the information that is on the new website for both visually impaired and sighted people.

James then explained about how both RNIB Scotland and the Scottish Government worked together to ensure that the Eyes.Scot website is accessible to blind and partially sighted people.

James also highlighted why it is so important for people to ensure that they keep up with their regular eye tests, how Opticians have been putting procedures in place to ensure that appointments are safe now that restrictions are being eased and how a regular eye test can pick up eye conditions and problems that are only just developing.
