Sudd Institute closed down by authorities

The Executive Director of the SUDD Institute says the organization has been closed down and four of their staff members were arrested for unclear reasons. 

This comes a few days after a policy analyst with the institute, Abraham Awolich, and other academic and concerned citizens formed a pressure group to advocate for a peaceful and just society. 

The Executive Director and founder of the SUDD Institute, Jok Madut Jok, says it is not yet clear if the closure is in relation to the declaration. 
He spoke exclusively to Miraya's Hellen Toby.
