President Kiir revokes OPP list of lesgialtors, OPP makes fresh nominations.

Five of the six parties represented in the Other Opposition Parties group or the OPP, have made fresh nominations for their members to the reconstituted parliament and council of states, and are waiting for nominations from Peter Mayen’s People’s Liberal Party. This comes after the group decided to divide allocations following a misunderstanding with Peter Mayen, the leader of the Umbrella grouping. 

President Salva Kiir issued a decree last evening revoking a list that was submitted earlier by Mayen following a protest by the other members.  

The spokesperson of OPP, Albino Akol spoke to Miraya's Hellen Toby and says they are waiting for Peter Mayen’s nominations before submitting the list to the President.
