AMONG the headlines for Monday 26th July, 2021, The government has agreed to extend the contracts of about 14,000 medical doctors, dentists and pharmacists for a period of two years (or 7,000 per cohort/year) which will involve a financial implication of RM1.2 billion, said Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
Also, Tunisia’s president dismissed the government and froze parliament on Sunday, prompting crowds to fill major cities in support of a move that dramatically escalated a political crisis, but that his opponents called a coup.
