The story for many blind or partially sighted pupils is different, as they experience accessibility and attitudinal barriers at a crucial point in their lives.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Rachel Hewett, from Birmingham University, to learn more about her research into the barriers, the solutions and the steps that need to be taken to create a level playing field for personal development.
