Hi Guys and welcome to episode 16 of the Bread Winners Podcast
I'm your host  Pauric Hilferty.

This business podcats  looks into the lives of current entrepreneurs and business owners on how they have navigated their way to being the best they can be and what makes them tick.

This week on the programme I’m joined by John Mc Keown from Loving Oxygen.

John’s unique story delves into his business journey over the last number of years and a new  business as a certified Wim Hof Instructor.

Teaching people techniques to boost their immune system and learn how to handle stress and anxiety.
John teaches his methods through workshops around Ireland and abroad.

In 2010 John's wife, Jackie, was diagnosed with bowel cancer and went to Germany for treatment. The treatment consisted of Ozone therapy and Hyperthermia both of which were carried out over there. It wasn’t an easy road but thankfully in 2013 she had the tumour removed and has been healthy since.

He has spent the last number of years researching how to keep his wife Jackie, himself and his family healthy and John believe's that reducing stress and getting oxygen to the cells goes a long way in doing this. This is a combination of Attitude, Breathwork, Cold Therapy, Clean Diet, Exercise, Earthing, Environment and Faith.

In 2015 I watched the Vice documentary on Wim Hof and was fascinated. John signed up for the 10 week online course and was hooked. The following year he visited Wim’s home in Stroe for a weeks advanced training.

In 2017 John traveled to Poland training with Wim, Kasper, and Bart and to become a certified instructor. Since then he has been lucky enough to teach the method throughout Ireland.

In 2020 John started training to become a Qi Gong Instructor.
