5/28 D-Fly & Dixie: Breakfast in Hartford
May 28, 2021, 11:44 AM
Maverik May Madness has reached its climax, and D-Fly and Dixie are set to get you ready for Championship Weekend in one of the best episodes of the season.
Dixie is on his way to East Hartford, Conn., for the culmination of the most interesting and memorable college lacrosse season in history. Before looking forward to the weekend, they look back on the challenges and unpredictability of the regular season. Then Dix gives a post mortem on each of the departed from the Quarterfinal round, all of whom had warranted aspirations as title contenders.
As the guys turn the page and look toward the weekend, they approach each team individually before getting to the two matchups. They look at each team’s season-long story and identity, review their resume, and discuss strengths and weaknesses. Then they talk about the two semifinal matchups and D-Fly makes his predictions for Monday’s championship game.
In a most-important-meal-of-the-day-inspired Give & Go, D-Fly and Dixie discuss the Age-Old Question, which fast food joint provides the best road trip fuel? On the eve of his trip north, Dix dares to trash Dunkin, and it turns out that Dixie is quite the donut snob. Who would have guessed?
Enjoy the games.
