Well good morning, good afternoon and good evening, wherever you are in the world, hello and welcome to the Saturday 28th July edition of EV News Daily. It’s Martyn Lee here with the news you need to know about electric cars and the move towards sustainable transport.

And occasionally on a Saturday I like to pause the news for a day and bring you an interview or behind the scenes look at the world around electric transport.

Today we’re heading to AVID Technology, a British company which specialises in electrified powertrain components. I sat down for a chat with founder and Managing Director Ryan Maughan. Ryan founded the AVID Technology Group back in 2004 and has led its growth and development ever since.  AVID is now recognised as a leader in the field of systems electrification and heavy-duty vehicle electrification and hybridisation.

We talk about:

* Find Out About The Components Of Your Electric Vehicles

* Why Most Large Auto Makers Are Talking About Electrification

* The Parts Which Go Inside A Formula E Car

* How Electrification Reduces CO2
