Unite for Freedom anti-lockdown rally April 2021 - Oxford Street
May 18, 2021, 08:19 AM
Several thousand anti-lockdown demonstrators marched through central London on a Saturday in April 2021 despite restrictions on mass gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event was billed by organisers: "Unite for Freedom".
The protesters viewed COVID-19 restrictions as unnecessary and a breach of their human rights. They opposed vaccinations, mask-wearing and so called health passports.

"The lockdown protesters firstly gathered in the early afternoon and started to march through central London.
"In this soundscape, you can hear thousands in attendance, and portable sound systems blasting music while protesters dance while marching, carrying placards saying: "No to vaccine passports' ' and "Lockdowns kill". The age spectrum of the protesters seem quite significant, with people from all sorts of ages and backgrounds."
