RNIB Policy Officer John Dixon Helps to Shape Government Working Safely Guidance
Season 1, Episode 742, Apr 21, 2021, 09:30 AM
As we start to come out of some of the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions many businesses, shops and other venues start to re-open inline with the Government road map. Connect Radio’s Toby Davey chats with John Dixon, RNIB Policy Officer about how the RNIB has helped to shape the government Working Safely guidance policy document to ensure that the needs of visually impaired people are reflected and included in Government policies as we come out of lockdown and beyond.
John also talks about his role as a Policy Officer, working on the government Working Safely guidance document and how visually impaired people can play their part to ensure that central and local Government are aware of visually impaired people when drawing up policies and guidance documents.
Do visit the Campaigning pages of the RNIB website to find out how you can get involved in helping to ensure that central and local Government policies, guidance and documents include and reflect the needs of blind and partially sighted people.
