Season 1, Episode 722,   Apr 05, 2021, 07:00 PM

In The Longest battle Emma Martins chats with people who have gone through a similar life changing situation to her own when Emma caught a virus in 2013 which completely changed her life for ever.

The virus that Emma caught in Vietnam caused a brain aneurysm which in turn has severely affected Emma’s eyesight.

In today's The Longest Battle Emma is chatting with Paul (Mad Dog) McGuinness, a Celtic rock star who has played with the Pogues, the Popes and many more besides.
Like Emma, Mad Dog has had a life changing brain injury when he was hit by a car in North London.

In The Longest battle with Mad Dog we will hear how he first started playing in rock bands in Dublin, the first time he met Shane MacGowan, all about that car accident in North London and his brain injury, life in hospital along with his road to recovery and what life is like for him now that he has come out the other side of his brain injury.
