In The Longest Battle Emma Martins chats with people who have gone through a similar life changing situation to her own when Emma caught a virus in 2013 which completely changed her life for ever.
The virus that Emma caught in Vietnam caused a brain aneurysm which in turn has severely affected Emma’s eyesight.
In today's The Longest Battle Emma is chatting with Trisha Goddard, who is best known for her mid-morning TV chat show ‘Trisha’ which first aired on ITV before moving to Channel 5.
In The Longest battle with Trisha, we will hear about Trisha’s early TV career, coming runner up in a BBC Young Film Maker of the Year Award with Nick Park of Wallace and Gromit fame, battling with breast cancer in 2008 while still presenting and hosting ‘Trisha’, dealing with depression and her own ways of coping with mental health issues through running. Finding out that she was adopted and searching for her birth father, working with MIND the mental health charity and dealing with anxiety.
