Vagabond ears

New York metro reimagined by Dana Papachristou.

"The original recording captured my ears as New York was the last place I visited before the coronavirus lockdown. I used the familiar M train sounds to create an aural condition where the ear, tired from a full day, falsely recognizes rhythm and melody in everyday sounds. A recreation of a travel experience, until we travel again."

Part of the Until We Travel project to map and reimagine the sounds of transport and travel in a pre-pandemic and pandemic world. See the whole project at https://www.citiesandmemory.com/travel.
