Bruce Millington is joined by David Jennings, Graeme Rodway and Paddy Power’s Graham Temple for a look ahead to another blockbuster weekend of action.
Saturday’s card at Ascot is headlined by the Grade 1 Betfair Ascot Chase, where Cyrname will seek to make amends for that disappointing run in last year’s King George now back at his favoured track.
Haydock is also not short on quality, as last season’s Stayers’ Hurdle winner Lisnagar Oscar bids to bounce back to form following a wind operation. Also looking to bounce back will be David Pipe’s Main Fact who racked up a series of nine consecutive wins before finishing out of the frame when last seen.
Wincanton’s feature race is the Grade 2 Kingwell Hurdle where Song For Someone and Goshen look set to reoppose. Graeme Rodway is strong on Tom Symonds' six-year-old here, labelling him as ‘the best hurdler in Britain’.
We are also treated to a rescheduled Newbury card on Sunday, where we have the Grade 2 Denman Chase featuring Clan Des Obeaux and Lostintranslation, as well as the Game Spirit Chase in which Gold Cup hope Champ embarks on his first run of the season ahead of the festival.
The team also turns their attention to Navan, where Tiger Roll lines up in the Grade 2 Boyne Hurdle over 2m5f.
In addition to previewing all of the weekend’s action, David Jennings, Graeme Rodway and Graham Temple give their NAPs following a couple of successful shouts on last week’s Postcast.
