Employment Advice Around Covid-19

The statistics are shocking, 3 out of every 4 blind people, of working age, are out of work, and 8 out of every 9 partially sighted people are in the same situation.

This comes down to a mix of factors, employers being afraid to take on someone with sight loss or individuals requiring to improve their employability skills, plus many more.

RNIB, along with other charities, are working to change outdated perceptions and stereotypes and improve the figures.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Dan Williams, who sits on an RNIB panel looking at this area, to discuss the help for employees and employers struggling to adapt to regulations around Covid-19 safety in the workplace.
