Dismantling Bombs & Destigmatising Mental Illness

Episode 1290,   Jan 29, 2021, 12:29 AM

While dismantling bombs in Afghanistan sounds like a terrifying prospect, the aftermath can be even harder to cope with.

Ex-Special Forces soldier Nathan Bolton has to manage depression and PTSD everyday since coming home to Australia, but by getting help and speaking out he has been able to find meaning in his life.

Nathan now runs a business with his brother Daniel, called 'Bolton Brothers' which helps to deliver a service designed to improve male mental health and wellbeing. He also gives talks across the country, including one on Wednesday 3 February 2021 at the Murray Bridge RSL for the Murray Bridge Suicide Prevention Network.

He joins Jennie Lenman on the line to tell his story.
