Among the headlines for Tuesday, 22 December 2020,  the Ministry of Health has not received any reports of a new variant of the Covid-19 virus in Malaysia which was detected in the United Kingdom and is said to be more infectious.

 

Also, the World Health Organisation cautioned against major alarm over a new, highly infectious variant of the coronavirus that has emerged in Britain, saying this was a normal part of a pandemic's evolution.
