From The Web of Fear through to Planet of the Dead, we (mostly) avoid the UNIT dating issues by focusing instead on the personnel - the Brigadier, Captain Yates and Sergeant Benton - and the possibility that the modern incarnation of the organisation could have been done somewhat differently.
