Clarke Reynolds - Blind, Braille Artist turns Braille in to a visual art

Clarke Reynolds is a blind artist based in Portsmouth who is turning the tactile form of Braille dots into a visual art for everyone through his recent colourful Braille poster highlighting local key workers to a Braille bench.
During lockdown many artists responded to the Coronavirus pandemic by photographing and painting portraits of local key workers to highlight their work in hospitals and the local community.
Clarke Reynolds responded by producing a Braille poster spelling out the key worker names in braille on the poster by turning the Braille dot letter pattens into rainbow coloured painted dots.
Clarke has also recently used the same process on one of the Southampton City centre public benches which was removed due to social distancing and his Braille bench will hopefully be on display in the city some time soon.
RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey chatted with Clarke to find out more about his Braille Art.
