Oct 22, 2020, 07:04 AM
You've probably heard about Linux, as it’s the operating system behind many of the devices that we all interact with every day, but just what can it do and how can people with low or no vision use it?
This webinar Wednesday is devoted entirely to Linux accessibility and usability for screen reading, magnification and refreshable Braille technology.
Our guest presenter for this session is Andrew Eliasz. Andrew is Director at First Technology Transfer Ltd, a UK-based training and consultancy company offering instructor-led training across a broad range of information technology and software engineering subjects. Andrew has always been an evangelist for the uptake of technology teaching in schools and has a special interest in encouraging more youngsters to take up careers in science and technology. He is also a member of the academic staff at Croydon Tutorial College, a specialist tutoring college based in Croydon, specialising in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science tuition, as well as emergency help with homework or project crises.
