The Equalities Act came into force on the 1st of October 2010 and gave anyone who felt discriminated against, in a wide range of circumstances, a way of standing up for their rights.
RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Anita Marshall, from RNIB's Legal Rights Service, to learn more about the act and how blind and partially sighted people can use it to help them stand up to instances of discrimination in every day life.
