We Need To Listen To Disabled Black Women with Triple Cripple
'Disability invalidates your humanity in a way that's accepted by all groups' This is the sentiment that Kym and Jumoke of Triple Cripples shared on the podcast this week.
Triple Cripple is a platform created by two disabled Black Women, for Women, Femmes & Non-Binary POC, living with disabilities, each and every day, whose stories remain hidden from view.” In the podcast they discuss the importance of the Black people looking after their most vulnerable people in our community, dating whilst Black and disabled. Experiences dating online, accessibility while dating and the imbalance of power that this causes. Most importantly they discuss how we can actively support Black disabled women within the Black Community.
