"Parties on track to forming new Legislature," Presidential Spokesperson

The Presidential spokesperson says the parties are on track to forming the new parliament. 
 
Ateny Wek Ateny says the elapse of the July 26th deadline, given by IGAD Heads of State, for the dissolution of the reconstituted national legislature is not an issue to be worried about, as the government has been focused on appointing governors and establishing state governments. 
 
The Former Detainees has submitted their list of appointees to the National Constitutional Amendment Committee, while the SPLM-iO says it has completed its list and is awaiting the dissolution of the transitional assembly before it makes its submission.
 
Ateny acknowledges that the SPLM in government has not yet submitted its names and says the parties are in discussion, without disagreement, in what he describes as a ‘silent consensus.’.
 
The spokesperson spoke to Radio Miraya in this 6” interview.
