Aid organization pulls out of restive Pibor Administrative Area

An aid organization operating in the Pibor Administrative Area says the security situation coupled with the bad road network have made it difficult to assess the needs of people displaced by violence in the area.
The South Africa based, Joint Aid Management (JAM), which has been running 16 centers to treat children with acute malnutrition, says it has had to suspend operations at 15 of the centers and recall its staff due to the violence.
The Country Director of the organization, Abeba Amena, says they plan to do an assessment of the displaced people but are facing numerous challenges.
