16 convicts re-arrested after Wau prison break

Sixteen convicts who escaped during a prison break at Wau Central prison last week, have been re-arrested.
Twelve of the inmates, serving sentences for capital offences, were discovered at Wau Teaching Hospital and Suk Hajer market where they were hiding with their prison chains attached to their legs.
The other four were arrested while roaming around Wau town.
Two prisoners and two security officers were killed in the riot on Monday July 13.
Western Bhar el Ghazal state Secretary-General, Remigio Hassan, says security teams are hunting for five other inmates who are still on the run.
