Outgoing U.S Ambassador to South Sudan, Thomas Hushek, wants South Sudan to expedite the implementation of the peace agreement

The outgoing United States ambassador to South Sudan, Thomas Hushek, says he hopes South Sudan will expedite the implementation of the peace agreement including establishment of a transitional parliament.

Ambassador Hushek says the U.S government will continue to be a good partner of South Sudan and support the peace process and humanitarian response in the country.
He says his successor will continue to engage the government on other issues regarding the agreement like inclusion of women in the political process.

The Ambassador spoke in an exclusive interview with Radio Miraya.

Ambassador Thomas Hushek was appointed U.S ambassador to South Sudan in 2018.
