Iranian lockdown sound reimagined by Alex Hehir.
"The original recording immediately got my attention as the noise of two musicians playing outside, with very little else, just sounded awesome.
"The stereo profile is also very interesting which meant I could really dig into the recording and pull out individual Dohul and Sorna sounds.
"The field recording is very much at the heart of the piece and I've also layered many acoustic and electronic textures throughout. This was recorded at the beginning of lockdown and also coincided with the Iranian new year hence the name of the track."
