Piece based on worrying mother pig toy by Tilla Martin.
"The Smithsonian item illustrated, an American folk art child toy, communicates the touch and feel of craft wood. The sound composition is inspired from children's plays, running away from an imaginary threat, drifting away from reality to a fantastic world of their own.
The harp leads the way until the story's melody align with the young boy's breath.
Harp: M.K.
Location of recording: Jardin des Plantes, Paris"
Part of the Smithsonian Treasures project, a collection of new sound works inspired by items from the Smithsonian Museums’ collections - for more information, see http://www.citiesandmemory.com/smithsonian
